10 years running strong Clown Shoes has done it all. Or so we may have thought! The brewers at Clown Shoes focus on complex flavor profiles along with putting an interesting twist in their beer that always seems to impress. From wacky barrel aged beers, juicy fruit puree IPA’s and some lighter styles such as the Belgian white and Kolsch, they’ve got a little something for everyone. As they say “The Sky’s The Limit” so why not have a little fun with beer.
The Pioneers of Vermont craft beer. Some of you know them as Long Trail, bottled their first batch of Long Trail Ale back in 1989. Can you believe these guys have been brewing beer for 30 years!?! The brewers set off on a mission to brew an affordable alternative to the expensive imported beers from Germany, England and Belgium. Over the years they’ve added over 20 new beers to their lineup. Get in here on May 11th from 1 pm to 3 pm and have a taste of some delicious Vermont craft beer!
By now most of us are all very familiar with the New England IPA style that has engulfed the craft beer industry over the last few years. If not that’s completely okay! You’ll have a chance to try these puppies out once and for all. Hopsters specializes in New England IPA’s with both their Newtonian and Comet Citra being a great example of the style. The style is very approachable with low bitterness and its juicy and aromatic flavors keep your taste buds wanting more.
Von Trapp was started as an American vision to create a German/Austrian version of lagers. The brewery began it’s operation at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont back in the spring of 2010. They now reside at their newer 30,000 square foot facility that is capable of brewing a whopping 36,000 barrels annually! Through the 9 years of business they’ve received numerous amounts of awards for their beers. This is not a shocker as all of their brews emulate German style beers terrifically. Join us on May 10th from 4-7 to taste some of the best pilsner/ lagers in New England!
Saturday May 4th we have a tasting that’s for all of you beer drinkers. We’ll have the hoppy stuff, the crisp clean styles and yes we’ll have some dark beer as well. Mast Landing and Devil’s Purse are two breweries that love to deliver tasty and fresh brews right to our fingertips. We hope to see you soon!
Jack’s Abby was founded in 2011 by a trio of brothers ready to dive head first into the booming craft beer business. Since their opening in 2011, Jack’s has exceeded expectations. They’ve won over 50 awards, tripled the size of their brewery, expanded throughout the country and all while doing that added another brewery to their family (Springdale). One of the breweries very unique traits is the use of old-world brewing techniques. This takes a little bit longer ranging from 4-6 weeks but the final product is a much more balanced beer. In addition to that they source their hops and malt from small family operations in Bavaria. If you ask me there’s no better way to brew German style beer than brewing it with German ingredients. Now that you know a little bit about the beer it’s time for you to come in and enjoy it! Stop by on April 20th from 12pm to 3pm to drink some delicious Massachusetts made Lagers.
