You might have seen this in a Sam Adams commercial. A bunch of people standing in a circle, holding a full beer stein out in front of them for as long as they can. What you might not have known is that if you can hold a stein in front of you long enough, Sam Adams will send you to Las Vegas to compete in the National Stein Hoisting competition. The winner of that will be sent to next years Oktoberfest in Munich to compete in the World Championships. Think you’ve got the shoulder strength and endurance to go all the way? Come out Saturday October 15th when we will be an official location for people to try to qualify for this competition. People will be hoisting steins outside, but we will also be grilling up burgers and hotdogs. On the inside, we’ll have tastings of Sam Adams, Angry Orchard, and Truly Seltzer. We’ll have plenty of beer swag for people to take home, but the top times will bring home their own Steins. Everyone who enters the competition will be part of a raffle for a charcoal grill courtesy of Sam Adams. Come test your shoulder endurance and join us Saturday October 15th from 1-3pm.

Stony Creek #1
Despite being relatively new to our shelves and to Massachusetts, Stony Creek is making an impact. Their Cranky line up has everything you need. Little Cranky is the session IPA, Cranky their IPA, and Big Cranky is their double IPA. Besides these staples, they have beers for those looking for something other than hoppiness. Recently their Dock Time won a gold medal for Amber beer and I think it is maybe the best amber we have on our shelves. But I’ll let you all come to your own conclusions at our first Brewery of the Month tasting. July 9th, 1-3pm.
Down the Road
Based in Everett, these beers are getting a lot of praise around the way and it is deserved. They have recently made the move to 16oz cans, which will be the brands direction from here on. We’ll be having them come out to the store for a tasting July 8th, 4-6pm.
Peak Organic
Few brands can say that they are organic, so it is nice that this Maine Brewery is making beers that are both organic and delicious. We’ll be having Peak Organic come out to taste everyone who cares to try their offerings on Friday, June 24th from 4-6pm. We’ll be tasting their normal core line up, as well as their very nice Summer Session. Come join us for a nice tasting to start your weekend off with.
Berkshire Brewing Co. #2
Again, we will have our Brewery of the Month BBC come to pour again. This time on Saturday, June 18th. Last week we showcased their lighter offerings such as Gold Spike Kolsch and Busker Pilsner. This week we will lean toward their darker side. We try to show off everything that a brewery has to offer in these Brewery of the Month tastings. With Berkshire and their large line up for core and seasonal offerings, we need two tastings just to fit it all in. We’ll still have the lighter offerings for tasting, but we’ll be focusing on the stouts and porters of the famous South Deerfield brewery. June 18th, 1-3pm.
Flying Dreams
New comers to our shelves, long standing brewers in western Massachusetts, Flying Dreams is taking root in Worchester as base for operations. Previously the brewmaster at Gardner Ale House, head brewer Dave Richardson is bringing all his experience and creativity to his own project. Taking traditional styles, Dave does the American beer drinking proud and plays around with them to brew unique flavors and styles. Join us to taste the line up from one of Massachusetts newest breweries. June 17th, 4-6pm.
