Description
The Assyrtiko “Petali” is named for the sound of the wooden looms from a nearby ancient monastery. Assyrtiko is Greece’s third most planted white grape and is traditional, historical, and indigenous. It is revered for its combination of heady aromas of white flowers, and a crisp palate of citrus that blends beautifully with herbaceous complexity, and just a hint of Mediterranean island saltiness. It’s a tremendous sipper and profound with seafood, and a tremendous pairing with cheeses, olives, and other Mediterranean fare.
