Michelle Sparkling Wine Tasting

This is the first of a few sparkling wine tasting that we will be having this month. Ch. Ste. Michelle has more than set its cornerstone in the wine market in most categories except one, sparkling. Until now. Ste. Michelle has rebranded their sparkling wins as just “Michelle,” have cleaned up the label, and, most important, cleaned up the wine. Throughout the lineup the best descriptor word that comes to mind is “balance.” The Michelle sparkling wines are pleasantly refreshing, displaying great stone fruit notes, and toasted bread, with the Rose having the added benefit of having tart berry fruit notes. The “new” Michelle is an eye opening experience, and a glimpse at what WA state sparkling can be.
