Our longest running tasting is now officially the Masciarelli Wine Co. Tasting that is hosted by John Avery.

Masciarelli Wine Co has now been in the wine distribution industry for a little over 30 years. To say that they are new to the game or small time is not giving them enough credit. They have one of the most extensive Italian wine portfolios and their Bordeaux selections rival distributors double their size. From one of their staple brands like Trentadue Old Patch Red to more unique offerings like the Domaine Poulleau Cotes de Beaune ‘Les Mondes Rondes’ Rouge, Masciarelli is here to find wines that overdeliver.

John Avery has been with Masciarelli for at least 10 years, and it shows. He is dedicated to the company and its brands with about just as much fervor as if it was still his first day. For John, wine is more than the label. It is about the wine that does have a story and a sense of place. It’s about the wine’s journey from the vineyard to the bottle and not what a marketing team says you should do. And if you don’t see it, he is here willing to show you.
